Size / Scope The organization has approximately 50 employees and $10B assets under management. They were in business approximately 10 years at the time of the engagement.

Problem / Opportunity Leaders of the organization desired Executive coaching for senior leaders. They also agreed to conduct an organization assessment to determine the next area of growth and development for the organization and it’s key leaders.

Intervention We conducted leader interviews, an online organization survey, and employee focus group meetings by departments.

Outcome We shared all data outcomes and helped leaders to make meaning of the information. It was decided to design and facilitate an “All Staff” retreat to share the outcomes and determine next steps. A new mission statement was developed and a decision was made to provide leadership training to all leaders. Coaching and customized training was provided to all leaders. The organization’s overall climate improved and leaders are working more collaboratively to use new tools and methods to continue improving the culture, processes, and systems.

Problem / Opportunity The organization decided to provide Executive coaching to it’s top leaders for continuous growth and improvement.

Intervention We created a plan to coach 7 leaders over a 6-month period. Our process involved building rapport, listening to understand current goals, individual assessments, and a co-designed coaching development plan. We also provided ongoing support, inspiration, challenge, and accountability.

Outcome Leaders gained clarity and focus on their inner work in relation to outer goals. They became more intentional and aware regarding their presence / impact on others. They were also exposed to new insights and tools on effective human interaction.

Client Type / Industry Global Pharmaceutical Company

Size / Scope A division with 3000 employees out of a global workforce of 110,000

Problem / Opportunity Trend data demonstrated women and leaders of color were less likely to make it through final hiring process steps.

Intervention Worked with senior leaders to better understand hiring decisions. Also reviewed the hiring process steps. Ensured all relevant hiring data was transparent to key stakeholders. Hiring managers maintained autonomy in hiring decisions.

Outcome Division won first place Diversity, Inclusion and Multicultural award for employee attraction, development and retention (out of 52 global nominations). Also improved employee engagement in largest division unit and increased female senior leaders by 72% and middle managers of color by 15% over an 8-month period.

Client Type / Industry  Hospital System / Healthcare

Size / Scope  3000 employee hospital system

Problem / Opportunity An established hospital system decided to initiate a diversity and inclusion strategy.

Intervention Worked with internal stakeholders to conduct a system wide data assessment, task force training, strategy design, and implementation.  The work included demographic focus groups, interviews, and survey data review. Also worked with internal resources implementing a Train-the-Trainer model for sustainability.

Outcome Designed Diversity training certification process, diversity team re-launch initiative, and strategies to adhere to accreditation standards for diversity and inclusion.

Client Type / Industry Non Profit Health Care Services

Size / Scope 25 person team of knowledge workers who provide services to 180 healthcare clinical sites covering 64 counties, and serving 466,000 patients across North Carolina.

Problem / Opportunity The organization experienced extensive regulatory, demographic, and organizational changes.

Intervention Collected organizational data to assess engagement levels through leader interviews, staff focus groups and review of internal documents. We designed and facilitated an all staff retreat.

Outcome The work resulted in increased team collaboration, HR policies, member services, and strategic plans.  The organization also achieved an increase in staff engagement results compared to previous data.
