Al attending a Lewin Center conference in Washington, DC with some of the top minds on the field of Organization Development. Many of them were also  instructors at American University’s MSOD program. Charlie and Edith Seashore are the couple who are front / center on the first row. The OD community experienced a tragic loss when they both departed us in 2013. Al is pictured in the 3rd row towards the left side in the blue sweater vest.

They were teammates on an International Residency consulting assignment while attending American University (MSOD program). The team did outstanding work on an organization climate assessment assignment with the University of Trinidad and Tobago.

Al designed and facilitated the annual strategic planning work session for the 100 Black Men of America, Inc. (Triangle East Chapter). The outcomes helped create new goals for the upcoming program year and continued to build deeper member relationships.

Al worked with the leadership team at Herndon Capital Management in Atlanta, GA. He delivered six customized Leadership Development workshops over a four month period. This work was preceded by an extensive organization assessment and all staff retreat. Leadership coaching was also provided.

Al on a hike along the Appalachian Trail. He and a group of friends hike a section of the 2,180 mile trail twice a year in the Fall & Spring. This 41 mile hike was near Roanoke, VA. Some of my most profound insights about change and working with groups came to me while hiking the trail – away from all the cares of the world experiencing the timeless lessons of nature.

The curriculum was co-designed by the National Training Laboratories (NTL). It was a deep experiential and life changing learning experience. He’s in the 2nd row towards the left.
